A Romance Novel Outline Template

In a previous blog post, I discussed the six essential plot points and one optional plot point that readers expect to see in a romance novel. However, a novel that only has one scene for each of these and no more probably isn’t complete (or is a novella or short story), and thinking of a whole novel in terms of a few plot points is oversimplified.

So I decided to create a romance novel outline template with room for connecting scenes, character reactions and decisions, and more. My intention is that the template will ensure that your story has sound internal logic (in other words, your character motivations make sense) as well as forward momentum.
