About the Book
Meik & Sebastian (Obsessed #1) by Quin Perin
Genre: M/M Erotica
All Meik cares about is lust, not love.
An eager boy toy, that’s what he’s looking for. Someone who worships the ground he walks on. The very second he lays eyes on the enigmatic, street musician Sebastian, he believes he found his new playmate. Obsessed with the young man, Meik introduces him to a world full of sins and desire until the man’s presence threatens to reveal dark memories he had locked away tightly.
This is the first book of the Gay Erotic Romance “Obsessed”. It features explicit adult m/m content. The book ends on a cliffhanger but can be read as a standalone. This part does not entail any romantic elements.
As the first installment of an M/M erotic romance serial, this novella-length story follows Meik, a successful businessman, as he meets and has sex with Sebastian, a poor musician. The story ends abruptly, but I expected such an ending from the blurb and story form.
I was entertained by this erotica installment but question the authors’ decision to release it as a serial. If the overall story is an erotic romance, it is difficult to tell from this novella. As the blurb states, it is pure erotica, but for me, it was completely missing any emotional or mental connection between the characters until the last scene, and even then, the connection was feeble. Aside from this, the sex scenes were well-written, but what kept me reading was Meik’s struggle to locate Sebastian after meeting him. I was curious about how the events of the story would unfold.
I would recommend this novella to readers looking to indulge in detailed M/M sex scenes, but if such readers are annoyed by the plentiful use of epithets (“the blond,” “the musician”), they’ll want to skip this one.
About the Authors
Why we do what we do? To level up the smut.
We are a team of Sultry Gay Romance writers who focus on detailed, toe-curling, and realistic smut scenes with a fair share of dirty talking (Oh, boy). Our readers admire and acquire books that feature thrumming heartbeats and sizzling sparks between characters. Characters who click. Unlike other authors in the genre, we write without the goal of publishing anything. Publishing is just the cherry on top of a cream-covered bubble butt.
That said, it is time for the next level of smut: stories featuring fire, lust & desire.
